Sarah Megyesy was born and spent her childhood years in the rusty city of Pittsburgh, PA. After finding her interest in film in high school, she went on to receive her BFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She graduated in 2011 and shortly thereafter she moved to Denver, CO where she often worked with Colorado's thriving music scene. She created the music video "Liars" for Grammy®-nominated artist Gregory Alan Isakov and has made multiple videos with award-winning poet Andrea Gibson. In April of 2019, Megyesy finished her first documentary feature film, THE RIGHT TO REST, about Denver's homeless rights movement and her second documentary film, IN A DRY LAND, is currently streaming through PBS. Although Sarah has experience in all aspects of filmmaking, cinematography is where she finds the most passion. She graduated from the American Film Institute with a MFA in Cinematography in December 2023.
